Fixed-type switchgear has breakers and components permanently bolted into the enclosure — maintenance requires powering down the entire panel. Withdrawable (draw-out) switchgear houses each breaker in a movable drawer module that can be withdrawn while the main busbar remains energized, allowing safe maintenance without system-wide shutdown. This significantly reduces downtime and improves operational flexibility.
